Job Summary:

Perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. Conduct quality control checks and adhere to safety protocols while providing comprehensive patient care throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT equipment using appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Conduct daily calibration and quality control checks on all imaging equipment.
• Inject radiopharmaceuticals following physician orders and prescribed protocols.
• Document all procedures accurately, maintaining logs, manuals, and charge records, and report equipment issues for regulatory compliance.
• Execute quality assurance and safety tests, following radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure per ALARA principles.
• Prepare, order, and verify radiopharmaceutical doses prior to administration, and maintain accurate patient imaging records for radiologist review.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a valid New York State License (L.R.T.) and current ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• Possess at least 1 year of CT imaging experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT scanners and radiopharmaceutical procedures.
• Maintain BLS certification and stay compliant with NYS DOH licensing requirements.
