Job Summary:

CT Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging by selecting appropriate kV and mA techniques and following established radiation protocols. The role includes pre-study equipment verification, safe radiopharmaceutical handling, and accurate documentation to support timely radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Apply appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks to ensure equipment readiness prior to patient studies.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and prescribed protocols, while verifying dose parameters before administration.
• Complete required documentation logs and charge records and report equipment issues in accordance with regulatory expectations.
• Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety testing while following radiation safety guidelines and the ALARA principle.
• Maintain and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation; support continuity of imaging records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current New York State License (L.R.T) as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Maintain ARRT certification in Radiography and current CT certification.
• Possess BLS certification.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of CT experience.
• Apply CT imaging protocols to ensure consistency, accuracy, and uniformity of study results.
• Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
