Job Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) for the Interventional Angio department, supporting Interventional Radiology and/or Cardiac Cath Lab activities. Provide safe, patient-centered care while assisting with angiographic procedures from preparation through recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for interventional angiography procedures and verify orders, allergies, and consent requirements.
- Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and patient responses during procedures and escalate changes promptly.
- Assist physicians with cath lab/angio workflow, including sterile field support and equipment readiness checks.
- Administer medications and manage IVs per protocol, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Provide post-procedure care, including site assessment (e.g., access site monitoring) and discharge readiness support.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection prevention practices, and department policies.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active California RN license.
- Possess prior IR and/or Cath Lab (Angio) experience.
- Maintain current ACLS and BLS certification.
- Demonstrate prior travel nursing experience.
- Provide evidence of strong ability to work within fast-paced procedural teams.
- Support effective communication and documentation in high-acuity environments.
