Job Summary:
BACKFILL - TRAVEL - RN - A4W TRAUMA TELE provides telemetry-based nursing care for adult med-surg patients, responding to changes in clinical status with timely assessment and escalation. This role supports safe, high-quality care through close monitoring, clear communication, and adherence to unit and organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and identify clinically significant changes promptly
• Assess med-surg level patients and determine acuity changes in real time
• Administer and manage IV fluids, IV antibiotics, and tube/PEG feedings as ordered
• Coordinate timely communication with Charge RN, Manager, Rapid Response, and providers
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR and ensure care continuity across shifts
• Support a collaborative unit environment by assisting CNAs and fellow nurses as needed

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Maintain BLS certification
• Possess telemetry rhythm interpretation capabilities for adult med-surg patients
• Demonstrate critical thinking and strong time management skills
• Provide effective communication with multidisciplinary teams during patient-status changes
• Demonstrate readiness to work on alternate med-surg units and occasional ED holding areas
