Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist provides inpatient occupational therapy services to acute care and rehabilitation patients, supporting evaluations and treatment plans to promote functional independence. This is a weekend-focused travel OT role for an 8-week assignment, working day shift hours.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans based on individual goals.
• Provide occupational therapy treatments to support mobility, self-care, and daily living skills.
• Administer and train patients in safe use of assistive equipment and therapy tools.
• Document clinical findings and progress in Meditech and other required systems.
• Collaborate with the OT/PT team to coordinate care for acute and rehab patient populations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Occupational Therapist (OT) license/credential in the required state.
• Maintain current BLS certification (BCLS).
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of occupational therapy experience in inpatient settings.
• Possess inpatient rehab experience and competency working with rehab patient goals.
• Prove ability to treat a mixed caseload of acute care and rehabilitation patients (as applicable).
• Show familiarity with assistive equipment used in therapy settings (e.g., Hoyer, EZ Stand, and related tools).
