Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide safe, competent, high-quality nursing care in an ICU setting for a designated patient group using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and professional standards. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while supporting patient experience initiatives and quality/safety goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process grounded in theory, research, and approved standards.
- Assess, evaluate, and manage patient care needs using critical thinking and prioritization.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on the plan of care, transition planning, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Coordinate assignments within the care delivery model, ensuring effective delegation and resource allocation.
- Escalate safety concerns, barriers, and service recovery needs through appropriate clinical leadership channels.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Maintain current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certification.
- Demonstrate at least 2 years of critical care/tele experience.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of RN experience (additional travel experience may be required for travel roles).
- Prefer BSN preparation; demonstrate BSN or active matriculation in a BSN program or relevant experience/active learning progress.
- Utilize clinical judgment to ensure high-reliability care and timely documentation in support of quality improvement.
