Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will support outpatient vascular services within a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP environment, providing safe, patient-centered care and assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role requires strong clinical judgment, adherence to protocols, and flexibility to support evolving caseload needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and responses to care throughout procedures.
• Prepare patients for vascular testing/interventions by reviewing history, ensuring readiness, and coordinating workflow.
• Administer medications and therapies according to approved protocols and provider orders.
• Assist with procedural support by maintaining sterile technique and communicating effectively with the care team.
• Perform neurological screening as indicated, including NIHSS assessment when required or preferred.
• Document care accurately in the medical record and maintain compliance with clinical standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active California RN license.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Possess 3+ years of RN experience in relevant procedural or specialty care settings.
• Demonstrate competent cardiac cath lab/EP-related patient monitoring and support skills.
• Complete and maintain competency in neurological assessment; NIHSS proficiency is preferred.
• Show strong clinical communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing caseload and schedules.
