Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in the Cath Lab. Collaborates with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety throughout procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs during cardiac procedures.
- Prepare patients for catheterization, ensuring appropriate sedation and comfort.
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
- Document patient information, procedure details, and clinical observations accurately.
- Educate patients and families on procedure processes and post-care instructions.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with validity required.
- BLS certification mandatory; ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of one year of CV or Cath Lab nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in cardiac monitoring and patient assessment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment.
