Job Summary:

Provide direct patient care within the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, ensuring safety, comfort, and quality outcomes. Support the healthcare team by delivering competent nursing services in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physicians’ orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and observe for changes or adverse reactions.
• Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, post-discharge care, and wellness strategies.
• Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry units.
• TWO management references from the past 12 months, excluding co-worker references.
• Active certifications with no pending issues; ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed successfully.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks; nicotine-free status required unless exempted.
• Current BCI/FBI background clearance within 48 hours of signing contract.
