Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on the Med/Surg Tele unit, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes. Adapt to unit needs, potentially floating to related units such as J1-2, J33, or ED.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a hospital setting, focusing on Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients.
• Recognize and respond to clinical changes by interpreting ECG rhythms and assessing patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and standards.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Comply with hospital policies, including holiday and shift coverage requirements.
• Complete assessment tests (ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate) during orientation with an acceptable score.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, combined perm experience in Med/Surg Tele or travel experience in the specialty.
• Have current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, all active with no pending issues.
• Provide two recent managerial references in the specialty from the past 12 months.
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments with the required score.
• Be willing to work at least every other holiday and comply with the facility's nicotine-free policy (exemptions for nurses/CSTs).
