Job Summary:
Provide skilled nursing care to telemetry patients in a hospital setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort while monitoring vital signs and responding to clinical changes. Identify and communicate patient needs effectively to the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and review telemetry data continuously.
• Administer medications, including titrating heparin and diltiazem, as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in EPIC and other electronic systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to coordinate care.
• Respond promptly to alarms and dysrhythmia alerts, verifying tele strip interpretations.
• Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and daily activities, maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent telemetry nursing experience, including charge or precepting roles.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience using point-of-care testing devices like AccuChek glucometer.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and basic telemetry strips comfortably.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
