Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with respiratory or medical diagnoses in a telemetry unit. Deliver high-quality patient care while managing complex clinical conditions and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and titrate IV drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, and Dopamine.
• Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and clinical status using telemetry equipment.
• Perform trach care and assist with other respiratory treatments, including vent management.
• Collaborate with monitor techs and charge RNs to ensure accurate interpretation of cardiac strips.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Support staff with float assignments to other units, including Med-Surg or ED, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with proven bedside experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong background in cardiac monitoring, drips, and Trach care.
• Excellent assessment skills and ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
