Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified PET Technologist with experience in Nuclear Medicine to operate Siemens scanners and perform PET/CT scans at a teaching hospital. The role involves working variable shifts, on-call duties, and ensuring compliance with radiology regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Siemens PET/CT scanners to conduct imaging procedures in accordance with protocols.
  • Ensure all radiation safety measures are followed and maintain radiation badges as required.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and contrast administration if needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records system.
  • Adhere to hospital, state, and federal regulations, including radiation safety and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize imaging quality and patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential (NMTCB(N), ARRT(N)) or equivalent.
  • Possess valid South Carolina State License in Nuclear Medicine or Radiology or CT, or demonstrate pending licensure with proof of application.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of relevant imaging experience, preferably in PET/CT.
  • Be BLS certified and compliant with all travel and hospital policies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment and nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to on-call duties as needed.
