Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced PET Technologist proficient in Nuclear Medicine to perform PET/CT scans and related procedures at a Teaching Hospital. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications and adapt to varying shift schedules, including on-call and weekend responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform PET/CT scans utilizing Siemens equipment with accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards by providing and managing radiation badges.
  • Maintain detailed documentation within the Epic electronic charting system.
  • Respond to on-call emergencies and assist during high-volume periods, including Saturdays.
  • Collaborate with medical staff in trauma settings, preferring experience with Level I and II trauma.
  • Follow all facility policies regarding scheduling, RTO, and emergency response protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Possess NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification, with additional credentials in CT or Radiology preferred.
  • Hold a valid State License in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography.
  • At least 1 year of consecutive experience in Nuclear Medicine or PET imaging.
  • Proof of BLS certification prior to start date.
  • Must provide agency radiation badge; MUSC does not supply badges to travelers.
  • Demonstrate ability to work flexible schedules and accommodate block scheduling requests with prior approval.
