Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Nuclear Medicine/PET Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at a busy hospital in Charleston, SC. The role involves operating advanced imaging equipment and performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to support patient diagnostics and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper patient identification and documentation.
- Manage equipment such as GE Discovery 630, GE Infinia, and Xeleris 5 software, maintaining optimal functionality.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the Meditech system.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies, including dress code and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Hold a CNMT or ARRT (NM), ARRT (CT) certification; NMTCB credential preferred.
- Possess at least 2 years of nuclear medicine or PET imaging experience.
- Certification in BLS/ACLS required.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and autonomous work capability.
- Knowledge of GE healthcare imaging systems and Meditech documentation system.
- Effective communication and patient interaction skills.
