Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum units. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe childbirth experiences and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and develop individualized care plans for labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals throughout labor and delivery processes.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Support patients through labor, offering comfort, education, and emotional assistance.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Coordinate with physicians and support staff to respond swiftly to any emergent situations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery experience with Level I qualifications.
• Hold current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications.
• Maintain a valid state license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
