Job Summary:
Provides urgent and emergent nursing care to patients in a high-volume Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center emergency department. Ensures prompt, respectful, and efficient care while maintaining safety and clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions upon arrival and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses, adjusting care as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver cohesive patient care.
• Document patient information accurately within the Cerner system.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, supporting trauma and stroke protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid nursing license with at least 2 years of RN experience in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume ED.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of direct ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced emergency procedures and certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days).
• Maintain flexibility to work varied shifts, including every other weekend.
• Exhibit excellent teamwork, communication, and coaching skills.
• Experience with Cerner documentation system preferred.
