Job Summary:


This Registered Nurse position specializes in providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The role involves managing obstetric patient needs, ensuring safety, and supporting families through the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess obstetric patients' conditions, recognizing normal and abnormal progress during labor and delivery.
  
• Deliver competent clinical care, including monitoring fetal heart rates, administering medications, and managing labor progression.
  
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, procedures, and education in accordance with policies.
  
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to hospital protocols, policies, and recognizing opportunities for professional growth.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote a positive birthing experience and ensure patient satisfaction.
  
• Follow safety protocols, including proper use of equipment, patient identification procedures, and adherence to infection control standards.
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Current RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  
• Proven clinical skills with obstetric and labor and delivery experience.
  
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
  
• Knowledge of obstetric emergency procedures and familiarity with labor/delivery equipment.
  
• Excellent documentation skills and understanding of HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
  
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
