Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated LPN to join the Medical Surgical unit, providing patient care under the supervision of RNs. The role requires acute care experience, strong clinical skills, and flexibility to float within the unit as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor and document vital signs, pain levels, intake/output, and patient responses.
• Assist with patient assessments, wound care, and basic procedures including Foley insertions and specimen collection.
• Communicate effectively with RNs and physicians regarding patient status and changes.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including isolation precautions and telemonitoring.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic charting system.

Qualifications:

• Active New York LPN license (NY is not Compact).
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Proficient in vital signs, medication administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to take patient assignments independently with RN support.
