Job Summary:

Seeking a licensed LVN/LPN to provide compassionate and competent care in a Medical-Surgical unit. The role involves managing patient needs, administering medications, and supporting the nursing team in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and report changes to the RN/MD.
• Perform wound care, Foley catheter insertion, and specimen collection with adherence to protocols.
• Document patient care and clinical activities in EPIC electronic medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Float within skill set across medical-surgical units as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York Single State LPN license; NY is not a compact state.
• Possess a minimum of one year of recent acute care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medication administration, vital signs, and patient assessments.
• Have current BLS certification.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Possess EPIC charting experience.
