Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at a leading hospital in Asheville. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality acute care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced trauma and stroke center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and complex conditions.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient treatment.
• Document patient information accurately using the Cerner system.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain clinical competencies and certifications as required by department standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke center emergency department.
• Demonstrate proficiency with emergency procedures, cardiac monitoring, and trauma protocols.
• Be BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certified or willing to obtain prior to start.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset.
