Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients in a progressive care unit. This role requires delivering high-quality, bedside nursing services to patients following complex surgeries and medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and vascular surgery patients, including post-operative management and monitoring.
• Utilize equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, and other healthcare devices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform procedures like epidural management, chest tube care, and medication administration including cardiac GTT management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans according to hospital protocols.
• Document patient assessments, treatment progress, and care plans accurately in Cerner EMR system.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown or telemetry nursing experience.
• Demonstrate prior experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery populations within the past year.
• Possess strong skills in epidural, chest tube, and IV management.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
