Job Summary:

Provide expert nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring safe, compassionate, and efficient delivery of healthcare services. The role involves monitoring patients with telemetry capabilities and collaborating with healthcare team members to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans tailored to medical, surgical, and step-down care requirements.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform clinical procedures as per unit protocols.
• Operate telemetry equipment, ensuring accurate bedside monitoring and quick response to patient changes.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner EMR system, adhering to all relevant policies and guidelines.
• Float to other units as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent progressive care, IMC, or PCU experience.
• Demonstrate telemetry competency and proficiency in critical care procedures.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Show a positive attitude, compassionate demeanor, and strong teamwork skills.
