Job Summary:

The X-Ray Tech performs diagnostic radiographic procedures with a high level of technical skill, ensuring accurate imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This role involves working independently and efficiently across various clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation in adult and pediatric patients.
• Ensure proper anatomical positioning and adherence to safety protocols to produce high-quality images.
• Operate fluoroscopy, OR, and other specialized imaging equipment with precision.
• Respond promptly to on-call rotations and provide imaging support during emergency situations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures using electronic charting systems.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and manage radiation badges in compliance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of recent radiologic technologist experience.
• Hold valid ARRT (R), SCRQSA (R), BLS, and CPR certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fluoroscopy and operating room radiography.
• Maintain a current radiation badge meeting regulatory standards.
• Be able to float within scope to various departments, including OR, ortho, fluoro, inpatient, outpatient, and ER.
• Have a South Carolina RN License or be eligible to obtain one, with proof of application preferred.
