Job Summary:


The X-Ray Tech is responsible for performing radiographic procedures at a professional level, demonstrating sound anatomical knowledge and technical expertise to support diagnostic imaging needs. This role involves working independently and efficiently across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct radiographic examinations utilizing ionizing radiation with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
  
• Adjust techniques to accommodate adult and pediatric patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
  
• Collaborate with clinical staff and float within scope to provide comprehensive coverage for OR, orthopedics, fluoroscopy, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room areas.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures using Epic or other charting systems.
  
• Comply with all radiation safety regulations, including proper use and documentation of radiation badges.
  
• Adhere to facility policies and schedules, including working 3x12-hour shifts with no on-call requirements and accommodating block scheduling if needed.
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist experience in a clinical setting.
  
• ARRT (R), SCRQSA (R), or equivalent certification required.
  
• Valid BLS and CPR certifications.
  
• Must possess a radiation badge prior to assignment.
  
• Experience with fluoroscopy and operating room procedures preferred.
  
• South Carolina RN license or ability to obtain prior to start preferred.
