Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Med Surg RN to provide care to patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgeries, including neurosurgery, neurology, ENT, and general surgery. This role involves caring for both ambulatory and bedridden patients in a fast-paced acute neuro unit.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neuro and med-surg patients, assessing their needs and developing individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal recovery outcomes.
• Follow strict safety and infection control standards to maintain a sterile environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license with at least 2 years of recent experience in a med-surg or neuro specialty.
• Verify current AHA BLS certification; NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neuro assessment, care of neuro patients, and general surgical nursing.
• Possess strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to work scheduled hours from 1900-0730, Monday through Sunday, for a 13-week assignment.
• Familiarity with acute care protocols and neuro-specific procedures.
