Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement rehabilitative treatments for patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders. The role involves administering therapy, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Screen and evaluate patients to determine appropriate treatment plans based on standardized assessments and evidence-based practices.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive device use.
- Document patient progress, adjust treatments as necessary, and evaluate outcomes to ensure effectiveness.
- Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members regarding progress, barriers, and treatment strategies.
- Provide discharge summaries and ensure all clinical documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students, supporting their educational and clinical development.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active OT license valid for the state of practice.
- Possess 1+ years of experience in occupational therapy, with LTC or rehab experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in clinical assessments, treatment planning, and documentation standards.
- Be a graduate of accredited occupational therapy program with Level II fieldwork experience.
- Comply with NBCOT certification and state practice acts, ethics, and conduct standards.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
