Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist with at least two years of experience to provide adult critical care in a acute care setting. This role involves night shifts, medication administration, airway management, and mechanical ventilation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies including aerosol treatments, airway placements, suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene procedures.
• Perform critical care interventions such as extubation, tracheostomy care, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Troubleshoot and manage mechanical ventilation systems, including BiPaP and CPAP devices.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR, ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Maintain proficiency in adult critical care skills and adhere to facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential in South Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent adult ICU experience, preferably Trauma Level 1.
• Proficient in administering inhaled medications and operating respiratory equipment.
• Strong knowledge of airway management, mechanical ventilation, and pulmonary hygiene.
• Demonstrated experience with EPIC EMR documentation.
• Ability to work night shifts and float to other units as needed.
