Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for travel positions in a Medical Surgical unit at a 25-bed hospital. Candidates will provide direct patient care, utilizing advanced clinical skills within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions accurately and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer IV medications, perform Foley catheter placements, and operate equipment such as IV pumps and telemetry devices.
• Document patient information thoroughly using the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with team members, including secretaries and techs, to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including floating between units as needed and following dress code protocols.
• Maintain patient safety through hourly rounding and compliance with certifications such as BLS, NIH, and CPI.

Qualifications:

• Strong assessment skills with at least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Proficiency with IV pump operation and medication dispensing cabinets (Pyxis).
• Certified in BLS; NIH and CPI preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform unit-specific procedures such as IV and Foley placements.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
