Job Summary:

Orthopedic Strong CSTSpine Surgical Tech will assist during operative procedures with an emphasis on spine and advanced orthopedic cases, including Mako knee and hip. This role supports the surgical team by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instrumentation, and anticipating surgeon needs throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile field, surgical setup, and case carts for orthopedic and spine procedures.
• Assist with instrumentation, equipment preparation, and intraoperative supplies for Mako knee and hip cases.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide timely instruments, implants, and sterile items throughout surgery.
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and needles and report discrepancies according to policy.
• Support safe patient handling and positioning in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Document procedure-related activities and assist with turnover and decontamination processes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Surgical Technologist credential (CST) or equivalent certification.
• Demonstrate strong experience supporting orthopedic and spine surgeries.
• Have hands-on experience with Mako knee and hip systems or procedures.
• Prove proficiency maintaining strict sterile technique throughout the surgical workflow.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, and readiness for possible on-call coverage.
• Maintain current knowledge of surgical instrumentation and perioperative safety practices.
