Job Summary:
The registered nurse in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit provides specialized patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring and intervention. This role involves assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret EKG results.
• Manage and oversee cardiac dysrhythmia management and interpretation.
• Maintain peripheral lines and PICC lines, including titrating IV drips.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including compliance with float requirements and unit ratios.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license in good standing.
• Have at least two years of recent experience in an IMC, PCU, or stepdown setting.
• Be ACLS, BLS, and NIH certified.
• Demonstrate experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management.
• Familiarity with peripheral line care, PICC line management, and titrating IV medications.
• Be willing to float across multiple campuses as needed.
