Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting, ensuring safe and effective treatment. Collaborates with healthcare teams to monitor patient progress and deliver quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and document medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV placements, adhering to facility standards.
• Monitor and record vital signs, patient status, and responses to treatments.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to the healthcare team effectively.
• Maintain accuracy in charting using EPIC and ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and ancillary care procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY nursing license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Proficient in blood glucose testing, Foley catheter insertion, and oxygen administration.
• Experienced with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Demonstrates competency in handling emergency and routine patient care procedures.
