Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate care. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and observe for changes in condition to promptly address clinical issues.
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and progress accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and post-discharge care instructions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and current RN license recognized in the state of employment.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• BLS certification is required; CPI certification preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
