Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide critical neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a hospital setting. The role involves managing ventilated patients and utilizing advanced respiratory equipment within a dynamic NICU environment.

Responsibilities:

• Independently admit and manage vented neonatal and pediatric patients using Servo U ventilators.
• Set up and administer heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive methods.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment including F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, and heliox therapy systems.
• Document patient care accurately within the Epic system and adhere to unit-specific policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal respiratory support and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain certifications and stay current with neonatal critical care techniques and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential with 1+ year neonatal ICU or PICU critical care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with neonatal and pediatric ventilation, including non-invasive methods like BiPAP and CPAP.
• Possess PALS certification and be capable of managing high-frequency and nitric oxide therapies.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work scheduled evening shifts from 7PM to 7AM and adapt to hospital policies.
