Job Summary:
A Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering precise radiation treatments to patients, ensuring effective cancer care while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role requires collaboration with physicians and oncology teams to develop and implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments accurately according to prescribed protocols.
• Monitor patient responses during sessions, documenting any adverse reactions or changes.
• Maintain and calibrate radiation equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, expectations, and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional safety guidelines by performing quality assurance checks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Radiation Therapist license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Demonstrate minimum 1-year recent experience in radiation therapy using EPIC EMR or equivalent systems.
• Successfully complete all required pre-assignment testing and modules within designated timeframes.
• Exhibit proficiency in operating radiation therapy equipment and safety protocols.
• Maintain strong communication skills to educate and support patients effectively.
• Meet travel compliance standards if applicable, with experience in adult oncology preferred.
