Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients and ensuring safe, accurate, and effective care. They collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement treatment plans, monitor patient responses, and provide compassionate patient support throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients according to established protocols.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, adhering to safety procedures.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed under the supervision of the radiation oncologist.
• Document treatment details, patient progress, and any adverse reactions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures, side effects, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Radiation Therapist license or certification in the respective state.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent experience working with EPIC EMR or equivalent electronic health record systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating radiation therapy equipment, including CT, MRI, and IR Techs as applicable.
• Maintain current CPR certification and continuing education as required by licensing bodies.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Be willing to float to other units and campuses, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
