Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Tech with interventional radiology experience for a travel assignment at a Level I trauma center in Savannah, GA. The ideal candidate will support complex angio/IR procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced IR procedures including thrombectomy, atherectomy, TIPS, EVAR, and stroke interventions.
- Assist in positioning, prepping, and monitoring patients during procedures, maintaining strict sterile techniques.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment such as IVUS, Shockwave, AngioJet, and Jet Stream.
- Document all procedures accurately in the EPIC Cupid system and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RNs, secretaries, and physicians to provide seamless patient care.
- Manage critical care medication titrations and stabilize patients in high-acuity situations, including trauma and stroke cases.
Qualifications:
- Hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Possess at least 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or special procedures radiology.
- Demonstrate proficiency in critical care medication management and IR procedures, including stroke and trauma care.
- Be certified with ARRT/RTR or RCIS credentials.
- Display strong technical skills with imaging equipment and patient documentation systems.
- Able to work independently during 4–10-hour shifts with call responsibilities.
