Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients, demonstrating proficiency in advanced therapy techniques and clinical management. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal respiratory health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medicated aerosol therapies, including nebulizers, DPI, and MDI, while providing patient education on effective use.
• Perform airway clearance procedures such as percussion, vibration, and cough assist to facilitate mucus removal.
• Manage airway devices, including tracheostomy care, suctioning, and ventilator setup, ensuring proper functioning and patient safety.
• Conduct blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation to monitor respiratory status.
• Implement humidity therapies with appropriate equipment, including heated humidity and HME devices.
• Follow clinical practice guidelines for asthma, cystic fibrosis, neonatal respiratory distress, and special procedures like nitric oxide therapy.

Qualifications:

• Current valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric respiratory care.
• Proficiency in airway management, ventilator systems, and advanced therapies.
• Strong knowledge of blood gas analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent patient education and communication skills.
• Ability to follow established clinical protocols and safety standards.
