Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ensuring clinical accuracy and safety. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient vital signs and electrocardiograms continuously to detect cardiac irregularities.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physicians’ orders.
• Document patient progress, assessments, and clinical findings accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and notify appropriate medical staff as needed.
• Maintain equipment such as PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes, ensuring proper function.
• Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital telemetry experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, independence, and a positive attitude.
• Have experience with procedures such as central lines, medication drips, and heart cath recovery.
• Prior telemetry certification or additional cardiology training preferred.
