Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled registered nurse to provide compassionate care on a 26-bed Acute Care Unit specializing in General Surgery and Trauma patients. The nurse will deliver high-quality patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and support post-surgical recovery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions through comprehensive assessments and vital sign monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health record system.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and evolving clinical situations.
• Adhere to hospital policies, float within scope of practice, and comply with compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia RN license (pending licenses accepted, must be in hand by start date).
• Minimum of 13 weeks recent experience in medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record required.
• BLS certification with ACLS preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts (4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
