Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in an acute care setting, primarily focusing on post-surgical and general medical patients. Ensure patient safety, monitor clinical statuses, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor cardiac, respiratory, and vital signs, utilizing cardiac monitoring, capnography, and pulse oximetry.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and response within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and patient discharge planning.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and hospital policies, including specific float policies and compliance standards.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse, with pending licenses accepted.
• Minimum of 12 months recent experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units.
• Epic EMR system experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred; not mandatory.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00) and every other weekend/holiday.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
