Job Summary:
The ER Registered Nurse provides critical, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care while collaborating with emergency team members.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to emergency patients, adhering to clinical protocols and standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, documenting findings accurately in Meditech EMR.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient status, diagnostic results, and changes in condition.
• Respond swiftly to patient deterioration, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Guide and educate patients and families, ensuring understanding of treatment plans.
• Maintain compliance with EMTALA regulations and reporting requirements for abuse.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, valid state RN license.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or Red Cross.
• Have minimum 1 year of acute care ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate certification in Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP).
• Be able to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends, with flexibility for float to units of competency.
