Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing in the ICU float pool, with the flexibility to float to medical-surgical, telemetry, step-down, PACU, and overflow units as needed. Ensures high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings under varying shift requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, adapting to different units as assigned.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies following patient care plans and physician orders.
• Perform advanced patient monitoring, including PaLine and Swan-Ganz catheter management.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, document findings, and update patient records accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify patient care strategies.
• Comply with all healthcare regulations, including ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications, and pass EKG assessments on orientation day.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of ICU experience within large hospital environments.
• Hold an active CA RN license with no pending or temporary licenses.
• Demonstrate expertise with PaLine and Swan-Ganz catheter management.
• Require current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
• Be willing to work night shifts, holiday coverage, and float across multiple units.
• Must pass the EKG exam administered at orientation and have flu vaccination (no declination).
