Job Summary:
Provides advanced critical care nursing for ICU patients, ensuring vigilant monitoring and support for a diverse patient population. Acts as a float nurse across multiple units, including MS, tele, PCU, overflow PACU, and step-down units, adapting to varying clinical environments.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor high-acuity patient care, including invasive procedures such as PA line and Swan-Ganz catheter management.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies with accurate assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
• Float to designated units as needed, ensuring seamless coverage across various clinical settings.
• Administer EKG exams during orientation and pass to proceed with the assignment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 2 years of ICU experience, with large hospital exposure preferred.
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, and NIH.
• Experienced with PA line and Swan-Ganz catheter procedures.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work 36 or 48-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to pass EKG exam on the first day of orientation.
