Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Ensure patient safety, support surgical teams, and promote optimal outcomes through expert clinical practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and surgical teams by preparing the operating room and arranging sterile instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during surgery to maintain stability.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as prescribed by the anesthesia provider.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Document patient care activities, surgical details, and post-operative instructions accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state credentials.
• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience in the operating room.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications such as CNOR preferred.
• Ability to function in high-pressure, fast-paced surgical settings.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control standards.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
