Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support in an outpatient ambulatory care setting under the supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. They deliver patient care with professionalism, compassion, and attention to confidentiality, supporting smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, and lab tests within scope of certification.
• Assist physicians during examinations by measuring vital signs and preparing patients.
• Keep clinical rooms clean, stocked, and organized to ensure readiness for patient care.
• Requisition supplies as needed and maintain accurate medical records, including referrals and lab slips.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing instructions and managing phone inquiries under physician direction.
• Support other clinical procedures and tasks as directed by the Physician or Manager, maintaining team flexibility.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of formal Medical Assistant training or certification.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a medical outpatient setting.
• Maintain current Medical Assistant certification and BLS (AHA) certification.
• Demonstrate excellent patient care skills, emotional stability, and professionalism.
• Show ability to handle stressful situations calmly and discreetly.
