Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and baby. Oversees and coordinates the activities of nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality maternity services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess pregnant patients’ health status and monitor fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for laboring patients, adhering to established protocols.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff and assistive personnel in providing comprehensive maternity care.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with physicians, doulas, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in labor and delivery or maternity nursing.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Certification in Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
