Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to women and their newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum within the Labor and Delivery department. Oversees patient care, collaborates with healthcare team members, and ensures safe, effective, and compassionate service throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff and support personnel in labor and delivery procedures.
• Educate patients and families about childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in labor and delivery or maternity nursing.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic understanding of fetal monitoring and obstetric emergency response.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
