Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. Oversees and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health continuously during labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical data.
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with hospital protocols and provider orders.
• Educate patients and families on the childbirth process, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or postpartum nursing.
• Maintain current BLS certification and ACLS or ARC-ALS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and emergency obstetric procedures.
• Have specialized training or certification in fetal heart monitoring (FHM) and neonatal resuscitation (NRP).
• Be committed to providing compassionate, patient-focused care.
