Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit during night shifts. Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and administer treatments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Manage peripheral lines, PICC lines, and titrate IV drips as needed.
• Float between campuses and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform patient assessments, document findings, and update care plans.
• Pass a compliance EKG exam and complete required clinical modules during orientation.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU/PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Exhibit proficiency with EPIC EMR and cardiac telemetry interpretation.
• Be ACLS and BLS certified, with NIH stroke certification preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to manage dysrhythmias and peripheral line care.
• Complete third-party education verification; pass a compliance EKG exam.
